Green Driving Tip: Engine Maintenance

Want better gas mileage? Think you have to buy a new car to get it? Think again. While there's a lot of exciting technology out there, and while you may even be considering throwing down a big down payment to finally get your gas mileage where you want it to be, simple engine maintenance on your current vehicle can have a dramatic effect on your gas mileage – no matter what you’re driving.

Replacing your air filter or your oxygen sensor, for example, may yield dramatic results. And everyday mindfulness – using the right oil and the proper octane of gasoline – can have an effect, too.

Keep your tires inflated to the proper level as stated on your driver's side door.
