Honda Civic wont turn on after being unused for 2 monhts?

I bought a used Honda Civic LX 1998 in April, and it has been working fine except from the following problem: The car dies if I dont press the pedal when I start the car. It works 100 % fine when I am in speed, but if I advance a little and then stop, the battery light flashes and the car turns off. Yesterday I returned from vacation and the car started normally when I put in the key, but it died immideately after showing the battery light. After that it has been impossible to turn it on, it just makes a horrible sound when I try to start it. What can I do to fix this? What seems to be wrong with the car? I changed the battery in May, but the problem continued. Thanks

Sounds like your fuel pump went bad... After sitting for so long your gas starts to go bad and can trash a fuel pump quickly. I have seen that exact problem probably 200 times. 197 times it's been the fuel pump, 3 times it's been a bad fuel filter.
