My upstairs neighbors are not the neighbors you'd want. They tend to be loud and make pounding noises on their floor on several occasions. I'm not sure if they're pounding their floors on purpose, but for whatever reason, I'm just paranoid / anxious that my ceiling might collapse due to my upstairs neighbors. Is there a possibility that within a few years, that my apartment ceiling will collapse, or weaken overtime?
normally your ceiling in an apartment is not directly connected to upper floors floor joist. check for cracks or signs of movement when you hear the noise. ceiling is not likely to fail from upstairs commotion.
